Bigg Boss Season 4 Contestants

India’s much awaited biggest reality show Bigg Boss Season 4 started on 3rd October, 2010 with a bang with Salman Khan. Salman Khan’s role as an anchor will be based on the motto: ‘Doston ka dost dushmano ka dushman.’ Salman Khan will get right into the problems of the contestants and if he believes that one of the contestants is wrong, usski to band bajaa dega” says one of the sources from Bigg Boss. The serious trend of serious hosting the show has also been broken. Unlike Arshad Warsi and Amitabh Bachchan, Salman was seen in casuals and was unpredictable and entertaining. This year contestants are from various backgrounds: TV serials, Indian cinema, Pakistani cinema, legal background and many others. Let us look at each one:

1. Shweta Tiwari

Vivacious Shweta Tiwari is one of the top celebrities on television and also a Bhojpuri actress. Shweta Tiwari was also seen on many reality shows like Nach Baliye and Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao. Shweta divorced her husband Raja Chaudhary who was seen in Bigg Boss Season 3. They have a lovely daughter Palak. Her relationship with her ex husband Raja Chaudhary and public display of their problems make her more controversial. Will Bigg Boss give her new career?

2. S.G. Abbas Kazmi

Abbas Kazmi is a well known criminal lawyer. He was the lawyer in 1993 serial blasts and was currently appointed by Indian Government as lawyer for terrorist Ajmal Kasab. Abbas Kazmi has also done cameo roles in bollywood including that of the policemen in the movie Rang (1993). What will he do in Bigg Boss? Will he share the details of India’s most dreaded terrorist? 3. Sameer Soni

Sameer Soni, comes from an investment background, went into modelling and then into movies. He has done roles in films like Fashion and I hate luv storys. Sameer was also seen in popular show Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi. He was in news for some time when his ex-girlfriend Nafisa Joseph committed suicide. His debut was in Doordarshan’s A mouthful of sky.

4. Seema Parihar

Seema Parihar is a real life dacoit who has been living in jungle for past 17 years. She has been involved in killing more than 70 people. A movie was made on her life called Wounded.

5. Ashmit Patel

Ashmit Patel is brother of bollywood actress Amisha Patel is yet to make a mark on bollywood despite of his hit film Murder. This 32 year old was involved in controversial MMS with his girl friend Riya Sen after which they parted off. He entered Bigg Boos house with positive energy.

6. Begum Nawazish Ali

A Pakistani contestant, Ali Saleem Khushra was born male, is the famous cross dresser, rechristened as Begum Nawazish Ali. He is a TV host, an anchor and script writer.

7. Sakshi Pradhan

Sakshi Pradhan, MTV Splistsvilla 2 winner, was in the news for many controversies. Allegedly her MMS was leaked by someone who was jealous of her on the show. At one point of time she was the talk of town and then suddenly disappeared. She is back on the screens with Bigg Boss.

8. Devinder Singh

Devinder Singh alias Bunty, is one of the most wanted thieves in Delhi with more than 500 cases over him. Bunty robbed over 300 houses and 100 =showrooms in Delhi, before he was nabbed in 2007. The film Oye Lucky Lucky Oye is based on him. Will other contestants be safe with him? We will find in coming episodes.

9. Rahul Bhatt

Rahul Bhatt is an inspiring film actor, son of director Mahesh Bhatt. A gym instructor was in news for big controversy. Rahul was made a scrapegoat when he was with David Headley, one of the most wanted terrorists by Indian Government and accused of 26/11 Mumbai Attack.

10. Sara Khan

Sara is an Indian model and actress. She also won the Miss Madhya Pradesh title in 2007. She made her mark in Indian television industry with Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai for her role as Sadhana. She had opted out of the show for some time is now back with reality show offers flowing her way.

11. Aanchal Kumar

Bigg Boss could not have been complete without this top fashion model Aanchal Kumar. Reminding us of Carol Gracious, Aanchal will definitely be a delight to watch. Thought she is the only contestant who is controversy free, many have linked her with Yuvraj Singh.

12. Hrishant Goswami

Hrishant is a model form Jammu and Kashmir. He completed his schooling from US and Nigeria. He also bagged himself the title of 2004 Gladrags Manhunt Contest.

13. Veena Malik

Veena Malik is the second participant from Pakistan. She is Pakistani actress and former girlfriend of embattled Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. She was in news for exposing a betting scandal in which her own ex boy friend was caught up. She is better known as Rakhi Sawant of Pakistan.

14. Manoj Tiwari

Manoj Tiwari, a Bihari actor, singer and director. He is so popular in Netherlands and Dutch that government had issued a 44 Euro cent stamp with Tiwari’s image. He is in news for his separation from his wife Rani. Seeing him with Shweta Tiwari who he was linked with in the same house will be fun.
